The EU is currently engaged in an active war against data privacy by attempting to pass laws that could enable mass surveillance. Initiatives such as the Protect EU and Chat Control Acts carry serious risks of becoming tools for mass surveillance across the entire EU. Furthermore, the way these measures are being planned at the highest levels of the EU is far more covert and insidious than many realize.
